I’ve been thinking a lot recently about my business and my ‘WHY’. It’s a big thing in business coaching and strategy, they all want you to burrow into the ‘why’ of your business and why you do what you do and, more importantly why you love it.
For a long my why was simply because I loved it, because I do. I love taking photos and always have, since a young age there was something about freezing a moment or memory and then looking back on it years later. For two reasons, life moves so fast that if you blink you might miss it. I preach being present, not only on your wedding day but in everyday life. Be present, live and experience what you are living right now, rather than looking ahead or fretting about everything else around that moment. But this is especially true on your wedding day, you are only (hopefully) going to do this once, and it’s uber important. So capturing it and capturing it well (that is important) for you to look back on and remember for a lifetime (hopefully, more than your lifetime) for me is priceless.
Then also because I love weddings. There’s slightly more to unpack here, yes I love weddings, but I think it’s more than that. I love marriage, what it means and what it represents. I love what it represents and love to celebrate that two people have found each other in this crazy world and that they are choosing to choose each other not just, then but every day for the rest of their lives. The whole wedding thing, and spending an amazing day with all the people you love is just an added bonus
At whatever point in your relationship choosing to get married and consolidate your relationship is a huge celebration. And I for one am all for that, and hugely privileged to get to document that for you.
So there you have it, my Why.
